Compute 2008 Call for Papers


Organized by ACM Bangalore Chapter, To be held in Indian Institute of Science
Bangalore, India, 18th – 20th January 2008.

THEME:

It is now widely recognized that computer science is moving beyond the academia into the business domain, more specifically into the enterprise computing space. The aim of this multi-track conference is to bring together researchers, practitioners, technology market movers, and thought leaders, with a view to advance the state of the art, and the state of the practice in applied areas of computer science, with focus on enterprise computing. The specific focus areas of computer science, relevant in the enterprise context, are being considered.

TRACKS

1. Software Services Engineering: Papers invited in the broad areas of :Business process Management ( Languages, process management, process mining, process monitoring, workflows, process improvement , process reengineering),Event Driven Architectures, Complex Event Processing,Service Oriented Computing (SOA,standards, Web services, Semantic Services,QoS for SOA),Software quality and quantitative measures (real-time, response, etc), Software Architecture(Software factories, Pattern oriented software architecture, ADLs, Enterprise Architecture formalisms), Service Identification Approaches, Process-service linkages,Contemporary Software engineering(global software development,Software as a service, Composite Applications, Web based collaborative software development, e-services),Web N.0 (Social Networks,Participative architectures, Semantic Web), Software Non-functional requirements including security, policy, privacy, maintainability

2. High Performance Computing: Papers invited in the broad areas of : Scientific and Business needs and challenges,e-science grids,Multi-core architectures,Next Gen Data Centers,Grid computing,Autonomic computing,Virtualization,Server consolidation,High Speed Networks

3. Information Management: Papers invited in the broad areas of :Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence,Information retrieval/storage/query,Data/text mining, Information Virtualization,Next generation Query Optimization/Processing,Multimedia,Graphics and Imaging,Gaming,Computational intelligence –intelligent agents, learning

4. Pervasive Computing: Papers invited in the broad areas of:Multi-modal computing,Sensor networks,Enterprise mobility,Field force automation and occasionally computing,Mobile ad-hoc networking,Ambient intelligence
