It is now widely recognized that applied research has a key role to play in moving computer science beyond academia into business. The aim of this multi-track conference is to bring together researchers, practitioners, technology market movers and thought leaders, with a view to advance the state of the art and the state of the practice in applied research. We solicit papers primarily in areas of applied research that are of contemporary interest to the broader practitioner community in the current technology adoption cycle. Specifically we would like to invite proposals broadly in areas of the following tracks : TRACKS 1. Systems and Networks Systems (Hardware and Software) and networks form the key component of computing infrastructure today, be it in development of an enterprise system, or a consumer facing system. We invite original technical contributions, and practical industrial demonstrations in the current frontier areas, including primarily the topics of (but not limited to ) a. Search, information/data management, and analytics b. High Performance systems, Virtualization, Data Centres, and Grid Computing c. Green Technological Systems (Environmental and Eco-Friendly systems) d. Flexible and Agile Architectures and Paradigms (SOA,BPM,EDA etc.) 2. Internet Internet has evolved to a complex and practical medium of conducting business today, with penetration in all facets of business. As we see, the Internet is evolving with newer interaction models as in Web 2.0 replacing conventional models of interactions with the end users. We invite original technical contributions, and practical industrial demonstrations in the current frontier areas, including primarily the topics of (but not limited to ) a. Semantic Web (as Web 3.0 and higher order web) b. Web 2.0, Social Computing c. Cloud Computing (for delivering scalable, flexible, and cost effective services) d. Pervasive Web, Wireless Web CONFERENCE CHAIR: Prof. R. K. Shyamasundar, IBM Research labs, India Email: Shyam AT tifr.res.in SUBMISSION PROCESS: Authors are asked to submit original, unpublished research papers that are not being considered for publication in any other forum. The authors can submit upto a maximum of 8 ACM conference pages (about 4000 words). The conference format specifications and templates can be found here.
