The main objective of the event, as part of Compute 2009, is to offer an opportunity for Ph.D. students working in areas of interest in the tracks of Compute 2009, to meet and share their research experiences, to present their work to the larger community for external review and feedback. We intend to provide a format which will involve a presentation mode whereby the researchers can present their work-in-progress, alongside providing a discussion and collaboration forum whereby researchers can interact, mingle and collaboratively discuss and exchange thoughts. Ph.D. students in any stage of their research are invited to submit a proposal for Doctoral symposium with a writeup (in the easychair submission site here under the category of doctoral symposium) including a brief 500 word abstract of the presentation they intend to make and a brief bio and thesis area summary.
